16x2 I2C RGB LCD Keypad HAT with RGB Font [Discontinued]

16x2 I2C RGB LCD Keypad HAT with RGB Font [Discontinued]

This is a 2x16 character RGB Font LCD Keypad HAT for the Raspberry Pi. The board combines a popular 16x2 RGB LCD display with handy tactile buttons - great for making lots of fun projects with your Raspberry Pi, from games to menus to internet radio interfaces and more!

This is the RGB Font version - allowing you to change the text colour via code. We also offer an RGB background version.

The display is controlled via I2C (with 16 million possible colour combinations!) meaning more GPIO pins are kept free for your project. The Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins are extended on the HAT allowing you to easily connect other project components with jumper wires even when the HAT is fitted.

Each button is tied to a GPIO pin, which is only connected when you fit jumpers to the boards selection pins, which is handy if you'd rather use those pins for something else.

The online product wiki includes example Python code and other information to help you get started.
