Flexible 16x16 NeoPixel RGB LED Matrix
This flexible 16×16 NeoPixel matrix packs 256 ultra-bright LEDs controlled from one data pin. It can draw over 15A at full white (not recommended), so plan power carefully. Not cuttable, not for repeated flexing, and intended for advanced users only.
For advanced NeoPixel fans, the Flexible 16×16 NeoPixel LED Matrix gives you a big, bright canvas that can be gently curved to fit your build. It features 256 ultra-bright LEDs, all controlled from a single microcontroller pin, so you can animate patterns, scroll messages, or draw pixel art just like you would with any other NeoPixel-compatible product. The matrix is built on a thick flexible PCB backing, allowing it to bend around surfaces for more creative installations.
With 256 LEDs, power planning is essential. If you turn every LED on full white, current draw can exceed 15A — which we do not recommend, as we don’t believe the flexible PCB can safely handle that much current. A more sensible target is keeping current draw under 5A. For this, you can use a 5V 4A or 5V 10A power supply. If you’re running it portably and drawing less than 3A, a 5V @ 3A UBEC is a good option.
Important note: flexible PCBs are not designed for repeated flexing. While this matrix may work for wearables or curved installations, there are no guarantees or refunds if LEDs or traces crack from bending. This product is intended for advanced users only, who are confident working with NeoPixels, managing high current safely, and protecting the panel from damage. There are no returns, refunds, or replacements for damaged products. Also, the panel cannot be cut into custom shapes, as the data and power lines run throughout the entire PCB.
