NeoPixel Mini 3535 RGB LEDs w/ Integrated Driver Chip - White (Pack of 10)

NeoPixel Mini 3535 RGB LEDs w/ Integrated Driver Chip - White (Pack of 10)

NeoPixel Mini RGB LEDs (3.5mm × 3.5mm) pack big colour into a tiny footprint. This pack of 10 (white casing) runs on 5V with built-in constant-current drivers, chains on one data line, and needs an 8MHz+ real-time microcontroller.

These NeoPixel Mini RGB LEDs are tiny, bright, and perfect for building your own custom smart LED layouts. They use the same integrated RGB LED technology found in NeoPixel strips and pixels, but in a much smaller package — each one measures just 3.5mm × 3.5mm, around half the size of the standard 5mm × 5mm NeoPixels.

Each LED has the driver chip built in, with constant-current drive for consistent colour even if the supply voltage varies. That also means no external choke resistors are required, keeping your designs clean and compact. Just power them from 5V DC and you’re ready to go.

This is a pack of 10 NeoPixel Mini RGB LEDs with a white casing. Minis are also available in a black casing.

The LEDs are chainable, so you can connect the output of one to the input of the next. They use a single data line with a timing-specific protocol, so you’ll need a real-time microcontroller (such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC, mbed, etc.) to drive them. They cannot be used with a Linux-based microcomputer or interpreted microcontroller like the Netduino or Basic Stamp. Internally, they’re essentially a WS2811, fixed at the 800kHz high-speed setting. Adafruit’s NeoPixel Arduino library supports these, and while it’s hand-tuned assembly for AVR cores, other platforms may have ports available. You’ll need an 8MHz or faster processor.

These LEDs are supplied as raw parts cut from a reel and may be loose. They may not be suitable for pick-and-place or reflow, as LEDs are sensitive to moisture and temperature. They’re recommended for careful hand soldering only. Each pack includes 10 individual LEDs, and there’s also a ready-to-go part available in the Adafruit EAGLE library.
